OUR HISTORY

Avian Mobile is owned and managed by a highly experienced management team who have been active in the field service and telecommunications sectors since 1987 with the inception of DVH Communications.

 

DVH Communications

During the 90's and at the height of the growth in the mobile revolution, in addition to it’s expanding field service operation, DVH sold in excess of 10,000 mobile phones a month, employed 130 people and were active in both the fixed and mobile markets in the consumer and business sectors via distribution, direct and it's own retail channels. In early 2000 DVH decided to focus purely on it's field service and direct sales to business customers and sold off it distribution and retail businesses. We subsequently separated the very successful engineering division from the business to business sales arm and split the management team in order to give even greater customer focus across both parts of the business. Following the restructure, our Field Service Division entered into a joint venture with “A Novo” to form A Novo Mobile Service (AMS), as part of being awarded a national contract with O2 for the provision of installation services and related activities. The telecommunications division of DVH continued to develop it's sales and customer service strategy across both it's fixed and mobile, voice and data products until it's acquisition by Azzurri Communications in October 2005.

In 2007, the original shareholders of DVH Communications successfully completed a management buyout of the Field Service business from A Novo and rebranded the operation as Avian Mobile. Shortly after, the remaining Directors from DVH that had joined Azzurri took up Board positions within Avian Mobile.

 

Avian Mobile Today

Avian operates under two divisions, Avian Mobile, developing the Field Service and Workflow Management Software aspects of the business whilst Avian Telecom provide a full spectrum of fixed and mobile communications products and services. Both divisions operate nationally and the management collectively have over 75 years industry experience ensuring they have an excellent understanding of support requirements in today’s business environment. Our ethos is to listen to our customers as we understand the importance of providing requirements based flexible solutions which are tailored to a client’s exact needs. Regardless of the application all clients receive a very personal service, with all support delivered through a dedicated team who are passionate about resolving any issues quickly with minimum impact, allowing our clients to continue with their primary business function.
